Job Summary
We are seeking a Health and Safety Manager to join our team and lead the implementation of our Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) management system. The successful candidate will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and be responsible for ensuring the effective management of OHS procedures and processes across our Spanish sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Risk Assessment and Compliance
- Coordinate and perform assessments of occupational risks for each job and workspace.
- Investigate incidents and identify root causes.
- OHS Process Implementation
- Develop and implement OHS processes and procedures.
- Communicate and deploy the OHS system to all stakeholders.
- Collaboration and Communication
- Collaborate with management to improve preventive actions.
- Promote employee cooperation in complying with OHS regulations.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting
- Participate in OHS committees and report on system performance and objectives.
- Participate in external audits to ensure the management system is fully deployed.
- Issue Resolution
- Resolve OHS issues, non-conformities, and actions related to the OHS system in a timely and effective manner.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in occupational health and safety, with experience in implementing and managing OHS systems. They will be able to communicate effectively with employees at all levels and have a strong understanding of OHS regulations and standards.
