**Job Summary:**
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced researcher to oversee our autoimmune research agenda, lead a team of researchers, and secure funding from government agencies, foundations, and industry partners.
**Responsibilities:)
* Develop and implement a strategic research plan aligned with Vhir's goals and objectives* Lead and mentor a team of researchers, postdocs, and students, fostering a collaborative and innovative research environment* Oversee the design, execution, and analysis of research projects, ensuring high standards of scientific rigor and integrity* Identify funding opportunities and lead efforts to secure grants, managing grant budgets and compliance with funding agency requirements* Establish and maintain collaborations with other researchers and industry stakeholders, representing the research group in academic and professional settings
**Requirements:
- PhD in a relevant field (Biochemistry, Biomedicine, Immunology, Biological Sciences, or similar)
- Postdoctoral research experience in immunology, cell biology, or genomics, with at least 10 years in internationally recognized laboratories
- Proven track record of conducting original research, with scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals (at least 50), including some as corresponding author
- Leadership roles, including experience leading research teams or projects, supervising PhD and master's theses, and securing funding as Principal Investigator
**Desirable Skills and Qualifications:**
- Expertise in laboratory techniques and technologies
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to foster collaborations within and outside the research unit
- Adherence to high ethical standards in research practices and commitment to responsible conduct among team members
- Organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects and timelines effectively
- Proficiency in statistical analyses and data interpretation
- Ability to identify emerging trends in biomedicine and translate them into innovative research directions
**Benefits and Remuneration:**
The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of $120,000 - $150,000 per year, commensurate with experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
