Head of Production for Flight Systems

Destinus, a pioneering force in European aerospace and defense technologies, is seeking an experienced leader to spearhead the production of our cutting-edge turbojet flight vehicles. As the Head of Flight Systems Production, you will be responsible for establishing and managing a production unit from scratch, overseeing the entire setup process, including team assembly, site selection, equipment procurement, and process development.
Key Responsibilities:- Assemble and lead a production team of up to 100 employees, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
- Provide mentorship and training to team members, ensuring they possess the necessary skills to excel in their roles.
- Select and lease suitable production facilities, ensuring they meet the company's requirements.
- Manage resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, to maximize productivity and efficiency.
- Develop and implement lean and continuous improvement principles to enhance production processes.
- Manage day-to-day production operations, ensuring timely and quality output.
- Develop and monitor production schedules, ensuring seamless execution.
- Oversee inventory levels, ensuring the availability of necessary components without overstocking.
- Implement and oversee quality control procedures, guaranteeing the highest standards of quality.
- Create detailed technological process maps, optimizing production workflows.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, including military, security, environmental, and industry standards.
- Implement and maintain safety protocols, protecting employees and preventing accidents.
- Plan and execute the production line setup within the stipulated time frame.
- Coordinate with other departments (e.g., R&D, procurement) to ensure smooth operation.
- Handle budget management and resource allocation, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Management, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in production management, specifically in aeronautical assemblies, metal fabrication, or machinery manufacturing.
- Proven experience in setting up and managing production facilities from scratch.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of successfully managing teams of up to 100 people.
- In-depth knowledge of production processes, quality control, and safety standards.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in relevant software tools (e.g., CAD, ERP systems).
