About the Role

Microsoft is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our Data Center Operations team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in delivering the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's online services, including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Azure platform.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and implement mechanical infrastructure solutions for data centers
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems with other infrastructure components
  • Conduct site visits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
  • Develop and maintain emergency operating procedures, methods of procedure, and standard operating procedures
  • Lead and participate in commissioning processes
Requirements
  • Proven experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on data center operations
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including cooling, power, and fire suppression
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
