Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Windows Systems Administrator to enhance our Platform Operations team. The primary responsibility of this role is to manage, maintain, and troubleshoot systems, services, configurations, and core applications within our Infrastructure and Platform Operations Unit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of Windows systems in a large-scale server environment.
- Implement best practices for patch management, virus control, and operating system upgrades.
- Manage Active Directory, including the administration and troubleshooting of GPOs, DNS, and DHCP.
- Conduct root cause analysis to resolve system errors and client issues.
- Establish and enforce security best practices for Windows Server OS and related technologies.
- Build and manage Windows failover clusters.
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures.
- Provide support for Incident Management, Problem Management, and Service Request Fulfillment.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in Windows Server administration within large environments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Server Administration and PowerShell scripting.
- Familiarity with configuration management solutions such as SCCM and monitoring tools like SCOM.
- Strong understanding of Directory Services components, including Active Directory, GPO, FSMO roles, DNS, and DHCP.
Essential Soft Skills:
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong critical thinking capabilities.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Adaptability to new situations and eagerness to learn new technologies.
Desirable Certifications:
- Certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, or MCP are advantageous.
- ITIL v3 or v4 certification is recommended but not mandatory.
