About the Role

We're seeking a Strategic Commercial Lawyer - Western Europe to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will provide commercially astute strategic advice to deliver legal excellence and support the accomplishment of our objectives in Western Europe.

You will work closely with our business leaders to develop and execute a legal strategy that aligns with our ambitious growth targets. This includes ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, supporting organic and external growth initiatives, and developing and implementing a comprehensive compliance plan.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of contract law, M&A, antitrust, anticorruption, corporate matters, corporate governance, litigation, IP, regulatory, and data privacy. You will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to flex your style and approach depending on the jurisdiction and issue.

Your Key Accountabilities

  • Developing and executing a legal strategy for the geography with clear priorities and committed targets
  • Ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Supporting the ambitious growth targets of the business through organic and external growth
  • Providing commercially astute strategic advice to deliver legal excellence
  • Developing and implementing a comprehensive compliance plan

Requirements

  • LL.B Degree or equivalent qualification to practice law
  • Previous significant experience ideally within an international FMCG company or law firm
  • Superior knowledge of contract law, M&A, antitrust, anticorruption, corporate matters, corporate governance, IP, regulatory, and data privacy
  • Commercial awareness / acumen and ability to think outside the box
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills, culturally sensitive
  • Fluency in English and one or two European languages (Italian/Spanish/French preferred)

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of €80,000 - €100,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits including health insurance, pension scheme, and annual leave. The role also comes with relocation assistance to Madrid, Spain.
