Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Platform Architect to join our dynamic team at Roche. As a Cloud Platform Architect, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing cloud-based solutions, with a focus on Salesforce SFDC and cross-cloud migrations.

About the Role

As a Cloud Platform Architect, you will be responsible for overseeing the architectural principles and design considerations to optimize platform performance and efficiency. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the successful deployment and integration of cloud technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of the architectural principles of cloud-based platforms, including SaaS, PaaS, multitenancy, multi-tiered infrastructure, integration patterns, and application servers.
  • Utilize this knowledge to design and develop scalable, reliable, and secure cloud solutions.
  • Possess hands-on experience with release management, source control, and deployment technologies, such as CI/CD pipelines, Metadata API, and integration services.
  • Ensure smooth and efficient deployment of applications and updates in the cloud environment.
  • Showcase proficiency in executing cross-cloud migrations, particularly with Salesforce SFDC and other cloud providers, such as AWS and Alibaba Cloud.
  • Facilitate seamless integration and data migration between different cloud platforms.
  • Exhibit awareness of platform-specific design considerations, including handling large data volumes, allocation limits, and data migration challenges.
  • Proactively identify potential technical design risks and develop governance strategies to mitigate these risks.
  • Display a strong understanding of business processes and objectives to design cloud solutions that meet business requirements effectively.
  • Exhibit a professional demeanor and executive presence, as you may be required to present architectural plans and strategies to top management level and decision-makers.

Requirements

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • Have over 5 years of experience as a Cloud Platform Architect or in a similar role.
  • Possess strong expertise in Salesforce SFDC and cross-cloud migration with experience in AWS, Alibaba Cloud, or other major cloud providers.
  • Have in-depth knowledge of cloud architectural principles, SaaS, PaaS, integration patterns, and application servers.
  • Be proficient in release management, source control, and deployment technologies like CI/CD pipelines, Metadata API, and integration services.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively.
