About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Research Analyst to join our Data & Researcher Services team at Boston Consulting Group. As a Research Analyst, you will play a critical role in providing secondary research in support of proposals, client cases, and business or intellectual property development initiatives, with a specialization in Energy-related topics, particularly Power and Utilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage various research requests with a high level of accuracy and organization, primarily on a key topic you have a strong interest in.
- Understand request objectives focused on Energy and proactively suggest the most appropriate and efficient research approach to senior DRS team members and customers, as appropriate.
- Evaluate source quality and data accuracy, and proactively help to identify and raise research-related issues.
- Engage in thought partnership with consulting teams and knowledge teams to understand, scope, and deliver accurate, timely, and relevant data and information.
- Coach Research Associates and outsourcing partners, as well as deliver data quality analysis with them.
- Develop tools, resources, and trainings within Energy sources, contributing to knowledge capture and codification.
- Provide advanced synthesis and develop deep expertise in specialized research tools, databases, and sources.
Requirements
- 2-4+ years relevant working experience in Energy topics, especially in power and utilities.
- Bachelor's degree with a strong preference for business, economics, engineering, and sciences.
- Excellent English and fluent Spanish. Additional European languages are valued (particularly German).
