Job Description:

AECOM is seeking a highly skilled Senior Hydrogeologist to join our team of experts in ground and mining engineering designs. As a key member of our international and multi-cultural team, you will be responsible for addressing groundwater issues and developing technical solutions to complex problems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of a ground and tunnelling engineering team with other engineers at the same functional level.
  • Utilize advanced scientific principles, theories, practices, and existing technologies to develop technical solutions to complex problems.
  • Interpret and record data, conduct analyses, compare findings to relevant studies and local, provincial, and national regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Exercise considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment.
  • Conduct research and investigation work as required.
  • Plan and organize project studies.
  • Assist in the resolution of conflicting technical information and unsuitability of standard procedures.
  • Perform complex assignments often requiring the development of unique solutions to problems.
  • May oversee the work of less experienced scientists.

Qualifications:
  • Senior Hydrogeologist with proven track record of working on ground and mining engineering designs and collaborating with international and multi-cultural teams.
  • Proven experience in groundwater modeling and hydrogeologic investigations.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills in groundwater flow and solute transport modeling.
  • Background in leading hydrogeologic investigations at large complex sites.
  • Experience in developing remedial strategies and closure, including statistical analysis of hydrogeologic data, well-field design, installations, contaminant fate and transport analyses.
