Job Title: Senior Research Analyst, Compliance and Risk Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Research Analyst, Compliance and Risk Expert to join our team at Dow Jones. The successful candidate will be responsible for researching, recording, and updating details on individuals and entities for the Dow Jones Risk & Compliance database.

About the Role:

  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis of publicly available websites and media sources to create and update profiles for various countries and Risk & Compliance content.
  • Extract relevant data adhering to Risk & Compliance coverage guidelines on content selection, data coverage, and accuracy standards.
  • Collaborate with the team to improve workflow efficiencies using automation tools.
  • Develop and maintain automated workflows to enhance productivity.
  • Provide expert advice to clients through written responses to their questions about Risk & Compliance content.
  • Prepare due diligence reports on companies and/or individuals as required.
  • Offer translation services as needed.

What You'll Need:

  • Fluency in English, German, and French is essential.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Python, HTML, advanced Excel, Macros/VBA programming, and/or SQL is required.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills are necessary.
  • Strong proofreading skills and experience handling large volumes of information are expected.
  • Sound decision-making and problem-solving skills are crucial.
  • Reliability, accountability, and ability to work autonomously are essential.
  • Effective communication skills are vital.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Fluency in additional languages (e.g., Georgian and/or Dutch) is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of and interest in current affairs and anti-money laundering regulations is desirable.
  • Education to a degree level or relevant experience is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this role is $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. We offer a competitive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
