Cloud Engineer for Data Science Platform

About the Role
As a Cloud Engineer for Data Science Platform, you will join a cross-functional team dedicated to providing a Data Science platform for TUI Group. The team relies on cloud engineering and development expertise, combined with a strong DevSecOps mindset, to deliver solutions that meet customer needs. Your excellent collaboration skills will enable you to work effectively with the team and take ownership of the platform's design and operation. You will focus on building and running the Data Science platform, ensuring quality, proper documentation, and security aspects. To achieve this, you will leverage your deep technical skills, experience with cloud engineering, and knowledge of DevSecOps practices. You will work closely with the business development teams to improve their efficiency and incorporate machine learning experience. Additionally, you will help other teams adopt the platform through direct engagement, ensuring operational readiness and observability. You will also continuously improve CI/CD and automation maturity and efficiency, tackling the design, build, test, and deploy cycle. Your contributions will be highly valued as you research, evaluate, and test new approaches, processes, and tools, helping teams use them effectively. You will demonstrate active participation in Communities of Practice, collaborating in shared initiatives. You will thrive in an international, multi-cultural team environment, challenging constructively and maintaining high expectations of yourself and others. You will drive technical excellence, ownership, and self-organization at both team and personal levels. About You
We are looking for someone with experience working with highly available, distributed systems and services in a cloud environment. You will define, develop, and roll out technical operations processes and new services across teams and markets. You will also have a strong desire to build self-service capabilities for platform consumers. Proven hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and managing scaled cloud systems with a focus on solution architecture is required. You will also use a range of tools and services, infrastructure-as-code, DevSecOps, and security engineering practices. Good experience with AWS Sagemaker, AWS Bedrock, and DataDog is beneficial. You will be very knowledgeable with CI/CD, preferably Gitlab CI. Experience with Kubernetes administration is highly beneficial. Additionally, you will have a proven track record in Data Science projects as a Machine Learning Engineer. You will be customer-centric, passionate about delivering great digital products and services, and passionate about continuous improvement, collaboration, and great teams. You will have strong problem-solving skills coupled with good communication skills.
