Job Title: Research Support Technician – Advanced Electronic Materials and Devices Specialist
ICN2 is a leading research center in nanoscience and nanotechnology, pushing the boundaries of knowledge at the nanoscale and driving innovation in various fields. The Advanced Electronic Materials and Devices group focuses on the material sciences and technology aspects of novel electronic materials, with a strong emphasis on graphene and other 2D materials.
The group's research activities cut across different scientific aspects, from the fundamentals to materials, devices, and applications. The successful candidate will contribute to the technological improvement of 2D-based neural interfaces, performing tasks such as 2D material characterization, microfabrication processes, electronic components assembly, electrical and electrochemical characterization of devices, and data management.
Main Responsibilities:
- Characterize 2D materials for neural interface applications
- Develop microfabrication processes for device fabrication
- Assemble electronic components for device testing
- Perform electrical and electrochemical characterization of devices
- Manage and analyze data for research projects
Requirements:
- Education: CFGS or equivalent
- Solid state and device physics courses
- Programming skills (Python, Matlab)
- Fluent English (spoken and written)
Working Conditions:
- Full-time work (37.5 hours/week)
- Temporary contract (until 30/06/25)
- Location: Bellaterra (Barcelona)
