Key Responsibilities
As a Wildlife Conservation Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of animal care, including diet preparation, observation, and record-keeping. You will also participate in engaging guest experiences, such as talks and tours, while promoting department policies and protocols to ensure exceptional care and safety.
Collaborative Environment
You will work closely with our team to advance collaborative efforts in collection care, training, enrichment, research, and education. A positive attitude and effective communication skills are essential for success in this role.
Requirements
This position requires at least 1 year of paid experience working with elephants at an Association of Zoos & Aquariums (AZA) accredited institution. A degree in Biology/Zoology or a related field is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Additionally, you must have a valid driver's license and be insurable by our fleet insurance carrier.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary of approximately $60,000 per annum, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
