About the Role

Estimated Salary: €70,000 - €90,000 per year (dependent on experience)

As a Senior Backend Engineer at Zeelo, you will spearhead the development of our backend system, serving as the cornerstone of our customers' booking journey. This system intricately integrates with multiple external platforms. Your responsibilities will extend to designing and deploying various APIs, catering to internal consumption as well as external partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Designing and deploying various APIs for internal consumption and external partnerships
  • Leading the development of our cloud-based backend system using AWS or equivalent cloud services
  • Ensuring the scalability and quality of our software, with a strong focus on testing and continuous integration
  • Mentoring and guiding fellow engineers, fostering growth and development within the team
Requirements:
  • At least 6 years of hands-on experience in developing client-side systems
  • Proficiency in working with Event-Driven architecture, demonstrating practical application in previous projects
  • Expertise in queue management utilizing technologies such as Redis, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Kinesis, or similar platforms
  • Demonstrated experience in developing cloud-based systems using AWS or equivalent cloud services
  • Strong expertise in Domain Driven Design principles, API design, and testing mindset
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to effectively engage both internally and externally
