Job Summary:

IBM is seeking a highly skilled Server Build Specialist to join our team. As a Server Build Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, building, and deploying server infrastructure solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and build server infrastructure solutions for clients
  • Install, configure, and test server hardware and software
  • Deploy and manage server infrastructure in cloud, hybrid cloud, and legacy IT environments
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality technical solutions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with server hardware and software
  • Monitor and manage data center infrastructure to ensure optimal performance

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience working in a 24/7 data center environment
  • Experience with operating system installation (Windows Server, Linux, Unix, VMWare, etc.)
  • Experience with racking, cabling, and deploying servers and networking equipment
  • Good knowledge of PC hardware concepts and component installation
  • Good knowledge of various internet-related services and software
  • Solid understanding of RAID technologies
  • Able to work in shift rotations and adapt to a fast-paced environment
  • Fluent in English

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Applicable IT certifications (CompTIA A+, Server+, Network+, Cisco CCNA)
  • Customer-focused attitude with previous customer service experience
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision and/or with a team
