Senior Business Intelligence Specialist

We are seeking an experienced professional to fill this challenging role.

This position is ideal for a seasoned Business Intelligence Specialist with a strong background in data analysis, reporting, and visualization.

The successful candidate will have expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining complex business intelligence solutions using various tools and technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to extract and load data from multiple sources into a centralized data repository.
  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, or other similar tools.
  • Work with stakeholders to understand their data needs and requirements, and design and implement solutions to meet those needs.
  • Maintain and improve existing business intelligence solutions, ensuring they remain relevant and effective.
  • Collaborate with the development team to ensure seamless integration of business intelligence solutions with other systems and applications.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in business intelligence and apply that knowledge to enhance our solutions.
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of experience in implementing ETLs, preferably with expertise in Power BI, Spark, Python, Data Lakes, SQL, relational and non-relational databases, Sonar/Fortify, CI/CD.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality business intelligence solutions that drive business value.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and data governance principles.
  • Experience with unit testing and adapting code to static code analysis tools (Sonar and/or Fortify).
Desirable Skills:
  • Implementation of Control Models.
  • Experience with other data analysis tools (Tableau, QlikView, Microstrategy, etc.).
  • Experience in consuming and defining APIs.

This is a contract-based position, initially for 6 months, with the possibility of extension. The location is Malaga, Spain, with a hybrid work arrangement requiring 2 days of onsite work per week.
