At Hospital Aúna Especialidades Veterinarias, we are committed to providing the highest quality care to our patients. We are seeking a highly skilled Small Animal Surgeon to join our team as the Head of the Surgery Service.
About the RoleWe are looking for a surgeon with expertise in both soft tissue and orthopedics to lead our existing team. The ideal candidate is an ACVS/ECVS Diplomate Specialist or exam candidate. For those preparing for board exams, a part-time position is available before transitioning to a full-time Head of Service role.
Our Surgery ServiceOur Surgery Service currently includes:
- An ECVS residency-trained clinician
- A part-time ECVS diplomate
- A senior surgeon
- Three surgery interns
This full-time role balances clinical practice with a variety of orthopedic and soft tissue cases. As a European specialist residency center, Aúna is committed to the training of future specialists and advancing clinical research.

Our state-of-the-art facilities include two fully equipped operating rooms, a 16-slice CT scanner, digital radiography, fluoroscopy, HD Storz Video endoscopes, ICU, cardiology and oncology spaces, separate circuits for dogs and cats, and more.
Future GrowthWe are expanding our facilities with the new AÚNA 2.0 hospital, a 2000 m2 purpose-built facility, which will feature 10 consulting rooms, 5 operating theaters, a 1.5T MRI, and more. As part of IVC Evidensia, the largest veterinary group worldwide, you will join a global network of 24-hour hospitals and clinics across 17 countries.
