Job Description:
ICFO is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic postdoctoral researcher to join our Ultracold Quantum Gases group led by Prof. Dr. Leticia Tarruell.
The successful candidate will contribute to the strontium quantum gas microscope setup, aiming to investigate bosonic and fermionic Hubbard models with single-atom and single-site resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development of the strontium quantum gas microscope setup
- Investigate bosonic and fermionic Hubbard models with single-atom and single-site resolution
- Prepare degenerate Fermi gases in the setup
- Demonstrate bosonic and/or fermionic Mott insulators
Requirements:
- Ph.D.-equivalent degree in Physics or closely related fields
- Proven track record of experimental atomic, molecular and optical physics
- Experience with ultracold strontium atoms, single-atom resolved fluorescence imaging, and the construction of quantum gas machines
