Job Title: Hardware Engineer for Multicore Processor Analysis
Description: Rapita Systems S.L. is seeking a highly skilled technical leader to join our hardware/software team. Based at the Rapita Hardware Center of Excellence in Barcelona, this position involves leading research and development of innovative hardware and software technologies for timing analysis and optimization of advanced Multi-Processor Systems on Chip (MPSoC) for multicore real-time embedded platforms in the global aerospace and automotive industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a growing team of talented hardware engineers working on multicore processor performance analysis and configuration.
- Identify performance bottlenecks by analysis of technical reference material and experimentation.
- Design, development, and testing of software tools for multicore performance analysis.
- Work alongside the CTO to create product roadmap and product innovations.
- Work with sales and marketing teams on technical proposals and promotion of our products and services.
Requirements:
- A master's or doctoral degree in computer architecture, real-time systems, electronics, or a related field.
- Experience leading teams and/or complex projects, including providing technical proposals and effort estimates.
- Knowledge of computer architectures and hardware components, especially multicore platforms.
- Experience in research projects.
Preferred Skills:
- Understanding and experience in real-time or embedded software development.
- Experience with real-time operating systems such as Integrity, VxWorks, Deos, and/or hypervisors.
- Familiarity with avionics standards like DO-178C and related knowledge.
- Skills in assembly, C, C++.
