We're seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Software Engineer to join our team at Red Ventures. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing UX-rich, accessible, and search-optimized front-end applications using HTML5, TypeScript, design systems like Tailwind, and frameworks like React and Next.js. You will also design and develop robust, scalable, and efficient backend services using Node.js-based services like Nest.js and Express.js. Additionally, you will provision and maintain applications in a cloud environment with infrastructure as code tooling like Terraform and CloudFormation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop front-end applications using HTML5, TypeScript, and design systems like Tailwind
- Design and develop backend services using Node.js-based services like Nest.js and Express.js
- Provision and maintain applications in a cloud environment with infrastructure as code tooling like Terraform and CloudFormation
- Collaborate with the team to define, design, and ship new features
- Contribute to the entire development life cycle, from concept to release
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a full stack engineer or similar, with 5+ years experience
- Demonstrated experience creating and maintaining content using WordPress
- Proficiency in TypeScript, React, Next.js, Nest.js, and Express.js
- Proficiency in writing unit and integration testing
- Familiarity with other programming languages such as Java, PHP, and Elixir is a plus
- Experience with service-oriented architecture and event-driven systems
- Experience with relational and non-structured databases
- Familiarity with AWS
- Prior working experience with operational excellence tools like Grafana, CloudWatch, Splunk, New Relic, and Rollbar
- Strong understanding of the entire development process (design, development, deployment)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
