**About Us**

The Centro Nacional de Análisis Genómico (CNAG) is one of the largest genome sequencing centers in Europe, with a strong focus on advancing life sciences and genomics research. We are a public non-profit consortium formed by the General State Administration and the Catalan Government.

We carry out projects in genome sequencing and analysis, focusing on areas such as cancer, rare disorders, immune-mediated diseases, microbial genomics, biodiversity, evolutionary studies, and agricultural interest species. Our goal is to strengthen the life sciences ecosystem at a national and international level, participating in global genomics initiatives like the Human Cell Atlas, the International Cancer Genome Consortium, and the European Reference Genome Atlas.

We have a team of 120 professionals from 23 countries, including nine research groups and two technology development units, supported by an efficient administration system. In 2023, CNAG researchers participated in 60 competitive research projects, including 20 funded by the European Commission through ERC, Horizon 2020, and Horizon Europe Programs.
