About the Position


We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our interdisciplinary research team at the Universitat de Barcelona. The selected candidate will contribute to a funded research project focused on understanding the heterogeneity in pancreatic cancer tumors and the complex interactions within the tumor microenvironment.


Key Responsibilities



  • Contribute to a funded research project on tumor heterogeneity, early detection biomarkers, and personalized drug treatment
  • Use state-of-the-art omics analyses and functional studies with primary in vitro and in vivo models
  • Collaborate within an interdisciplinary research team
  • Supervise students and provide mentorship
  • Demonstrate excellent technical skills in biochemical and cell biology-based techniques
  • Work with primary human cells/organoids and possess experience in cancer biology

Requirements


The ideal candidate should have a PhD degree in molecular/cell biology, biochemistry, biomedicine, or equivalent, as well as experience in (tumor) immunology, animal license certificate up to date, and previous experience in Pancreatic Cancer and/or Pancreas Biology. Flow cytometry and in vitro imaging techniques are valued but not required.

Compensation and Benefits


The salary for this position is approximately €45,000 - €55,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. The Universitat de Barcelona offers a competitive compensation package, including benefits such as health insurance, pension plan, and paid time off.
