About the Role

We are seeking a talented Language Engineer to join our NLP team, working on a Personal Voice Assistant software used by millions of users worldwide. The ideal candidate will have native knowledge of Portuguese and a strong background in programming, Machine Learning, and NLP concepts.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Support the training of Machine Learning and NLP models to improve the accuracy of the software in the Portuguese language.
  2. Analyze model output to provide insights and improvements, deciding which type of data should be fed to the algorithm.
  3. Contribute to innovating new approaches and product features tailored to the Portuguese market.
  4. Automate and integrate workflows from diverse systems.
  5. Ensure effective communication with the team and clients.

Requirements

  1. Native knowledge of Portuguese.
  2. 1+ year of engineering experience and interest in diverse technical areas.
  3. Experience in NLP, Machine Learning, or related fields such as Data Engineering.
  4. Knowledge of Python and typical ML libraries.
  5. Good linguistic comprehension and knowledge of the structural aspects of the Portuguese language.
  6. Experience with GIT or other version control systems.
  7. Good organizational and analytical skills.
  8. Ability to think outside the box and strong problem-solving skills.
  9. Excellent communication skills.
  10. An academic background in Computer Science, Computational Linguistics, Speech technologies, or equivalent experience.
