Domain Architect for Corporate/Customer Services domain Expert
About the Role:Airbus Defence and Space is seeking a highly skilled Domain Architect to join our Architecture unit. This role will focus on designing and developing domain-specific target architectures and underlying design principles to steer specific solution architectures.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in information technology, software architecture, and development, with experience working with Agile and SAFe methodologies. They will also have a good knowledge of cloud, traditional IT, and security.
The Domain Architect will be responsible for managing domain IT specific technology lifecycle in alignment with enterprise architects and translating it into a domain transformation roadmap. They will also act as Lead Architect in programs when related to large solution crossing domains.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in information technology or a similar field, with several years of experience in big and complex environments. They will also have fluency in German or Spanish, plus English, and experience with Togaf framework and Archimate language.
This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
Key Responsibilities:- Designs domain-specific target architectures and underlying design principles to steer specific solution architectures
- Co-creates required architecture artefacts with Enterprise Architects, e.g., architecture blueprints and technical debt backlog
- Manages domain IT specific technology lifecycle in alignment with enterprise architects and translates it into a domain transformation roadmap
- Acts as Lead Architect in programs when related to large solution crossing domains
- Accounts for cross-architecture layer / end-to-end IT architecture consistency within of customer services domain
- Drives architecture effectiveness from a functional end-to-end perspective with cross-layer responsibility to ensure close integration of layers
- Supports solution architecture by identifying and evaluating solution options
- Acts as an internal consultant and independent moderator in domain specific design discussions and supports and guides Solution Architects to facilitate effective projects
- Assesses deviation from standards, recommends standard alternatives and documents technical debt
- Hold a degree in information technology or a similar field or bring a comparable qualification combined with several years of experience in big and complex environments
- Fluency in German or Spanish, plus English
- Experience with Togaf framework and Archimate language
- Good background on development, software architecture, devops
- Good knowledge on cloud, traditional IT and security
- Experience working with Agile and SAFe methodologies
- Technical project management experience
