The Position
We are seeking a Cybersecurity Threat Hunter at Roche to protect our networks and users from evolving threats. You will be responsible for monitoring security information, identifying threats, and taking actions to safeguard all Roche information systems. This is an on-site position based in Madrid, Spain, with a round-robin on-call schedule covering weekends, including recuperation time.
The Opportunity
As a Cybersecurity Threat Hunter, you will partner with other security experts to proactively identify areas of improvement, design preventative and detective controls, and develop response strategies within a global enterprise. You will leverage your knowledge, technical abilities, and creativity to navigate diverse security-related logs and telemetry. Your tasks will include:
- Triage and investigation of reported security incidents
- Refinement of incident management processes and response processes
- Maintenance of awareness about emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security trends to proactively identify and address potential risks affecting the entire Roche group
- Addressing questions from end-users related to IT security through internal communication channels
Your Profile
To succeed in this role, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or equivalent work experience in the information security field. Key requirements include:
- Experience driving threat hunting, incident response, or data protection missions
- Solid understanding of common security vulnerabilities and attack vectors, as well as their respective mitigation strategies
- Proficiency in scripting or programming languages like Python, PowerShell/C#, Bash
- Industry-relevant certifications such as BTL1/2, GMON, GCIH, GCFA, GREM, while not mandatory, are appreciated
- Ability to clearly articulate technical findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Possession of a passion for computer and network security
