Senior Data Scientist

At TomTom, we're seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist to join our Maps Quality and Product Insight team in Madrid. As part of the team, you will help us deliver the most up-to-date, accurate and detailed maps and location services for hundreds of millions of drivers worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Advocate for and implement changes to technology, process, tools, and systems to improve location content.
  • Drive strategic business decisions with insights obtained by manipulating large volumes of data from various sources.
  • Design, develop, and maintain data processing pipelines to predict map features and attributes using statistical models, ML, and AI.
  • Collaborate with diverse teams across the company and with customers on projects and knowledge sharing.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience working as a Data Scientist or Software Engineer with relevant experience in data analytics projects.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and team-oriented approach.
  • Passionate about programming with a solid foundation of software development and a willingness to learn and improve skills.
  • Experience in Big Data ecosystems, statistical knowledge, and expertise in designing and testing experiments.
