About the Role

Criteo's Unified Data Platform (UDP) tribe is seeking an experienced IT Data Architect to join our team. As a key member of our internal IT department, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our data platform.

What You'll Do

As an IT Data Architect, you will be responsible for defining and implementing data modeling standards and best practices. You will work closely with various stakeholders, including enterprise architects, data engineers, and business analysts, to understand and translate business requirements into data models.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and implement data modeling standards and best practices
  • Propose, promote, and specify conceptual, logical, and physical data models for data engineers to develop on our platform
  • Partner with data stakeholders to understand and translate business requirements into data models
  • Ensure data models are scalable, flexible, and support data governance and data quality requirements, including data lineage and stewardship
  • Participate in the design and implementation of a data mesh approach
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture and Data Governance teams to integrate business rules and quality checks
  • Present and advocate for data lifecycle, modeling scenarios, and solutions
  • Support change management efforts through education, acculturation, and training

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 7+ years of technical experience in data modeling (ETL, governance, quality, architecture, UML, Standard Dev languages such as Python, NoSQL, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of data governance and data quality principles
  • Experience with data modeling tools and technologies
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing requirements
