We are a leading company in the field of grid technologies, and we are seeking an experienced Sales Executive to join our team in Madrid, Spain. As a Senior Sales Specialist in High Voltage Substations, you will be responsible for growing our opportunity pipeline and orders in new and existing markets for substations and all the different solutions that Siemens Energy has to support our customers in the energy transition.

Main Responsibilities:

• Grow the opportunity pipeline and orders in new and existing markets for substations and all the different solutions that Siemens Energy has to support our customers in the energy transition.
• Develop and execute strategies to penetrate new markets and expand existing ones.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment and seamless execution of sales plans.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, including utilities, independent power producers, industries, and infrastructure companies in Spain.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, and negotiate contracts and agreements to meet customer needs and expectations while maintaining profitable margins.
• Work closely with engineering, factories, service groups, and marketing groups to resolve configuration, scope, and technical changes during the quoting process.
• Ensure that the sales and tendering processes are implemented in line with Siemens Energy processes and in a compliant and ethical manner.
• Collaborate with other teams to achieve business objectives and develop effective and differentiated strategies & tactics to achieve business objectives.

Requirements:

• A degree or equivalent in Engineering or a related technical field.
• Knowledge and proven experience of the grid technology market.
• > 5 years experience in HV substations solutions and systems. Understanding of customer business drivers and process requirements. Project management experience will be an advantage.
• Strong technical knowledge of high voltage substations and their components.
• Willingness to travel as needed and to have regular customer visits.
• Good communication skills in English and Spanish. Able to communicate fluently, collaborate with both internal and external customers with the ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and influence other teams to collaborate.
• Excellent negotiation skills. Manage multiple tasks and projects under tight time frame while handling customer pressure.
• Disciplined in planning, organizing, and structuring of resources. Also to be considered good analytical and problem-solving skills, strategic analyst, Entrepreneurial spirit.
• Teammate and able to communicate multiple levels of customers, peers, and team members.
• Ability to work in an accurate and structured way.
• High skills for collaborative work among diverse teams and different countries, ability to create good team environment and be a key part to motivate it towards the common and individual objectives.
• Capability to be self-supporting (able to work without supervision) and quickly learn new concepts.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite and CRM tools and sales software.
• EHS Knowledge and Quality mindset.
