About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Scientist to join our team at the University of Alicante's Research Institute of Biodiversity CIBIO. As a key member of our research group, you will contribute to our mission of advancing knowledge in biodiversity and conservation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research in biodiversity and conservation, with a focus on insect biology and ecology, saproxylic entomofauna, and biological pest control.
  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to design and implement research projects, including natural insecticides and nature-based solutions for extensive livestock pest control.
  • Develop and optimize rapid tests to assess the toxicological effect of livestock veterinary products on coprophagous insects.
  • Contribute to the development of new ecological alternatives for pest control and biodiversity conservation.
Requirements
  • PhD in a relevant field, such as biology, ecology, or conservation biology.
  • Maximum of eight years' experience in research.
  • Compliance with mobility rules: not have resided or carried out your main activity in the country of the hosting organization for more than 12 months in the 3 years prior to the deadline for applications.
