About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Security Engineer to join our team in the Security Integrations Group. As a Security Engineer, you will be responsible for providing application support, troubleshooting, and customer issue resolution for our physical security system infrastructures.
Key Responsibilities
- Day-to-day support operations of a fast-paced complex distributed physical security infrastructures
- Responding to telephone, ticket and e-mail requests in a professional, efficient manner
- Performing various programming and technical project / administrative related activities on the security systems
- Following standard procedures for proper escalation of issues to the appropriate teams
- Reviewing and recommending logical and technical design as defined by documented standards
- Documenting knowledge in the form of knowledge base Wiki articles
About the Team
The Security Integrations Group (SIG) is a part of the Global Security Operations Technology (GSOTech) group, primarily an engineering team for Amazon's physical security systems across the globe. We participate in the design, development, deployment, and project management aspects of these systems.
Requirements
- 2+ years of customer facing IT role or physical security systems/infrastructure work experience
- Experience scripting in PowerShell or other scripting languages
- Bachelors or Associates degree in a related field (Information Technology, Communications, Business, Criminal Justice, etc.)
- Experience managing projects with shifting priorities
- Knowledge of networking basics through work experience or education
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AWS, networks and operating systems
- Experience with physical security systems (such as Lenel, Honeywell, AMAG, Bosch, Milestone) or their associated hardware
- Ability to program to solve problems and automate repetitive tasks in a common scripting languages such as PowerShell, VBScript and Perl
