About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Web Developer to join our team at EURAXESS Czech Republic. As a Frontend Specialist, you will be responsible for implementing sophisticated web interfaces that integrate with our back-end system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop high-quality frontend components using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Work with our UX/UI designer to create visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces
  • Integrate frontend components with our back-end system using REST APIs
  • Collaborate with our team to ensure seamless integration with other systems
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest frontend technologies and best practices
Requirements
  • Strong background in Web frontend development (HTML, CSS, JS)
  • Understanding of server-side aspects, including web security
  • Experience working with REST APIs for application and services integration
  • Experience with containerization technology (such as Docker)
Desirable Skills
  • Experience with Python (including async programming)
  • Knowledge of querying databases: SQL, ElasticSearch, MongoDB, Neo4J, etc.
  • Knowledge of unit testing and E2E testing using Cypress
  • Knowledge of Java, PERL, Rust
  • Experience in Data Curation, Data mining, harmonisation
  • Knowledge of UX Design Experience and proficiency with design tools
  • A master's in bioinformatics will be considered a plus
  • Fluency in English, as it is the working language of the group
