About This Role
We are seeking an Electronic Design Engineer to join our team and take a science-based approach to the development of electronic systems.
This role involves designing and developing electronic hardware that powers robotic platforms, including PCB design, component selection, embedded systems integration, and low-level programming.
- Taking a science-based approach to the development of new electronic products.
- Designing and developing PCBs for robotic systems, including schematic capture and layout.
- Selecting electronic components that meet performance, cost, and reliability requirements.
- Developing and integrating embedded systems, including programming microcontrollers in C/C++.
- Working with communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, and USB for sensor, actuator, and microcontroller communication.
- Performing testing and debugging of electronic circuits and firmware.
- Collaborating with the mechanical and software engineering teams to ensure seamless product integration.
- Continuously researching new electronic and embedded technologies to bring innovative solutions to the company.
Main Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing electronic hardware that powers our robotic platforms. This includes:
- Designing and developing PCBs for robotic systems.
- Selecting electronic components that meet performance, cost, and reliability requirements.
- Developing and integrating embedded systems.
- Working with communication protocols.
- Testing and debugging electronic circuits and firmware.
Requirements:
- A strong foundation in electronic circuit design and debugging.
- Solid understanding of embedded systems and programming.
- Proficiency in PCB design tools.
- Fluent in English.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience with electronics gained through professional work, personal projects, or active participation in technical university competitions or research teams.
