Student Engagement Coordinator

The Student Engagement Assistant position is a key role in the Student Life department, responsible for providing administrative support and event coordination. The selected individual will be tasked with managing event logistics, communicating with students and staff, and ensuring the smooth execution of departmental activities.
Key Responsibilities- Manage event planning and coordination, including venue reservations, catering, and audio-visual equipment
- Develop and implement effective communication strategies to engage students and promote departmental events
- Provide administrative support to the department, including data entry, record-keeping, and reporting
- Collaborate with student leaders and staff to develop and implement programs and events that enhance the student experience
- Assist with the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Higher Education, Student Affairs, or Communications
- Experience in event planning and coordination, preferably in a higher education setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, with experience in data analysis and reporting
- Master's degree in a relevant field
- Experience working in a student affairs or higher education setting
- Knowledge of student development theory and practice
