Job Title: Research Assistant in Ecology

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant in Ecology to join our team at the Ramón Margalef Institute for Environmental Research (IMEM). The successful candidate will collaborate in the research project "Living laboratories for rural landscapes" performing scientific-technical evaluation of ecosystem services and biodiversity in Mediterranean forest environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Scientific-technical evaluation of ecosystem services and biodiversity in Mediterranean forest environments
  • Monitoring of vertebrate fauna
  • Evaluation of carbon sequestration services and beekeeping potential
  • Evaluation of soil functionality using nutrient conservation, infiltration and recycling rates

Requirements:

  • Official Master's degree in Management and Restoration of Natural Areas or equivalent
  • Experience and training related to the tasks mentioned above
  • Knowledge of Catalan
  • Hold a type B driving licence
  • Be a Spanish national or be in one of the situations listed in article 57 of Royal Legislative Decree 5/2015

Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will work in a dynamic and international environment with a team of experienced researchers. The position is full-time and temporary.
