About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager to join our team at BYD Europe. As a key member of our National Sales Company based in Madrid, Spain, you will play a crucial role in supporting the set-up of finance-related procedures and organizing day-to-day finance-related activities.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Financial Procedure Setup: Support the establishment of financial procedures in areas such as invoicing, accounting, tax, and more.
  2. Accounts Management: Manage accounts receivable and payable, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  3. Transaction Monitoring: Monitor daily transactions and bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  4. Customer Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts with customers and clear customer balances in a timely manner, sending reminders as needed.
  5. Reimbursement Processing: Review and process reimbursements, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  6. Invoice Management: Issue sales invoices, credit notes, quotations, and POs, maintaining accurate records of invoices and tax payments.
  7. Account Discrepancies: Identify and address account discrepancies, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  8. Travel Expense Processing: Process employee travel expenses, explaining reimbursement routines as needed.
  9. Financial Data Entry: Input accounting data into the accounting system with speed and accuracy.
  10. Financial Reporting: Assist in the production of financial statements and applications, preparation of spreadsheets, reports, and correspondence as required.
  11. Financial Data Collection: Collect and enter data for various financial spreadsheets.
  12. Financial Statement Review: Review and audit financial statements and reports, ensuring all calculations and data entries are correct.
  13. Stakeholder Support: Answer questions and provide assistance to stakeholders, customers, and clients as needed.
  14. Process Improvement: Suggest changes or improvements to increase accuracy, efficiency, and cost reductions.
  15. Policy Review: Participate in reviewing finance-related policies and procedures in line with the principles of HQ.
  16. Audit Support: Support handling parts of the audit report if required.
Requirements
  1. Education: MBO or HBO education in finance, accounting, economics, or another related area.
  2. Experience: 1-3 years of working experience in a similar role.
  3. Knowledge: Knowledge and understanding of corporate finance functions and procedures.
  4. Language Skills: Advanced spoken and written English and Spanish language skills.
  5. Technical Skills: Advanced MS Excel skills (creating spreadsheets and using financial functions). SAP user experience will be an asset.
  6. Soft Skills: Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Detail-oriented and good with analyzing large data.
