**Job Summary**

Musica Sacra is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Music Director to lead our liturgical music program. As a key member of our parish team, you will be responsible for planning and directing all liturgical music, including playing the organ and directing the parish choirs at Masses, rehearsals, and special events.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Plan and direct all liturgical music, including playing the organ and directing the parish choirs at Masses, rehearsals, and special events.
  • Direct weekly choir rehearsals and plan music for liturgies.
  • Maintain the music library and instruments, including the three-manual Allen digital organ, Yamaha grand piano, and 5 octaves of Malmark handbells.
  • Develop and implement worship aids and music programs to enhance the liturgical experience.
  • Collaborate with the pastor and other parish staff to ensure seamless integration of music into the liturgy.
  • Recruit, train, and lead a team of cantors and choir members.
  • Develop and manage the music budget.

**Requirements:**

  • Proficiency on the organ and strong choral conducting ability.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Thorough understanding of the Roman Catholic liturgy.
  • 3 years experience as a parish music director.
  • Bachelor's degree in music preferred.
