Job Summary
The Bell and Door Host is responsible for providing exceptional guest service and creating a welcoming environment for all arriving and departing guests. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a warm welcome to all arriving guests, including opening and closing car and hotel lobby doors
- Execute curbside check-in and ensure a seamless guest experience
- Keep the door area and lobby impeccable at all times, including maintaining a clean and organized environment
- Utilize guest names in all interactions and provide personalized service
- Assist guests with luggage and secured luggage storage
- Maintain relationships with limousine and cab services
- Escort guests to their destinations within the hotel
- Assist the front office team with check-ins and outs as needed
- Review daily reports and group resumes to ensure execution of all special requirements
- Act as a lobby ambassador throughout the shift, providing thoughtful touches for our guests
- Participate in all colleague briefings and formal communication meetings
- Follow all established standards and procedures set out by the hotel and the department
- Consistently offer professional, engaging, and friendly service
Requirements
- Previous experience in a luxury property is an asset
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Ability to prioritize and execute guest requests through strong organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with great communication ability
- Physical ability to stand and walk throughout shifts, exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 25 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects
