Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our Quantexa Delivery team. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing our innovative technology and working with a fast-paced team to contextualize data. You will be working with a variety of modern development tooling and technologies, including Spark, Hadoop, Scala, Elasticsearch, and cloud platforms such as Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, and Amazon.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement defensive, fault-tolerant, and efficient code for production-level data processing systems.
  • Configure and deploy Quantexa software using various tools and technologies.
  • Collaborate with solution architects and R&D engineers to champion solutions and standards for complex big data challenges.
  • Articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and provide expert advice on data engineering best practices.
Requirements
  • At least three years of industry experience in a data engineering role or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in Scala, Java, Python, or other programming languages associated with data engineering.
  • Experience with modern development tooling and technologies, including Git, Gradle, Nexus, Jenkins, Docker, and Bash scripting.
  • Strong technical communication skills and experience working in rapidly changing client environments.
  • Knowledge of testing libraries and experience with unit testing and integration testing.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting or mentoring junior engineers.
  • Desire to grow with the company and take on leadership roles.
