We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Events Manager to join our European marketing team at Veeva Systems. As a key member of our events team, you will be responsible for supporting event strategy in Europe, planning, executing, and long-term vision for large-scale customer events in Europe, as well as supporting the field marketing team with the execution of smaller Veeva-led community events and industry trade shows.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement event strategies to support business objectives in Europe
- Plan, execute, and manage large-scale customer events in Europe, including logistics, production, and vendor management
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless event execution and delivery
- Manage event budgets, procurement, and invoice/expense tracking and reconciliation
- Ownership of site and vendor selection
- Internal communications and stakeholder management
- Ensure flawless execution, quality of service, and timely delivery of all necessary components, properties, and materials for each event
- Ongoing monitoring and evaluation of industry best practices to bring innovative ideas for digital and in-person events
- Minimum 5+ years of corporate event experience
- Experience leading large-scale (1,000+ attendees) world-class conferences, live and virtual, with a focus on logistical planning and execution
- Thrives in a dynamic, high-pressure environment
- Proven excellence in participating in cross-team program management and high attention to detail
- Proven ability to build relationships with other teams and across all levels
- Ability to travel 15-20% of the time
- Life sciences industry experience a plus but not essential
