About the Role
This exciting opportunity is part of our brand new 'New Partner Team' set up in our Madrid office. As a Senior Business Development Representative, you'll play a central role in account management by assisting in the set-up and onboarding of conventional lodging properties within your assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities
You will help them maximize their production potential from their participation in the Expedia marketplace by leveraging our unique data insights. This involves executing high-value conventional lodging leads from fresh leads and untouched opportunities within target markets as assigned by our distribution engine.
What You'll Do
* Execute on high-value conventional lodging leads from fresh leads and untouched opportunities within target markets as assigned by the distribution engine.
* Build the portfolio of hotel partners by introducing prospective partners to Expedia and facilitating their onboarding process.
* Educate partners on how to offer competitive hotel products (content, rates and availability) to be consistently optimized on the Expedia sites.
* Advise partners on additional lodging rates and availability information regarding high demand and compression periods.
* Employ active listening during conversations with potential partners to adapt responses to local market conditions and partner needs.
* Share best practices within the team in order to achieve overall team targets.
* Continuously promote and develop hotel partners' high engagement with Expedia's full suite of tools, including unique market insights, revenue management tools, marketing and merchandising opportunities, specialized brands, and self-service tools.
* Carry out follow-up calls with new partners to answer questions and help maximize partners' potential.
Your Background
To succeed in this role, you'll need a Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent related professional experience. 1-2 years of relevant work experience, commercial experience being a plus. Proficiency in English + at least one additional European language and/or Arabic is required.
Compensation & Benefits
We offer an estimated salary range of $60,000-$80,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, you'll enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
