Bvc Buyer

We are seeking a highly skilled Bvc Buyer to join our team at Michelin. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for sourcing and managing our suppliers to ensure the highest quality products and services.

1. Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to understand market trends, opportunities, and threats.
2. Category Management: Collaborate with internal partners to define and challenge short to mid-term needs of the business.
3. Sourcing Strategy: Apply the sourcing strategy defined by the category manager to ensure effective procurement practices.
4. Portfolio Analysis: Make analysis and segmentation of the portfolio to identify opportunities for value creation.
5. Tendering and Negotiation: Conduct tenders and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best possible deals.
6. Total Cost of Ownership: Decide sourcing tactics based on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis to ensure cost-effectiveness.
7. Sourcing Tactical Plan: Define and deploy a sustainable short to mid-term sourcing tactical plan to fulfill internal partner's needs.
8. Contract Management: Build contractual agreements and work with the contract manager for deployment and operational management of contracts.
9. Supplier Relationship Management: Identify opportunities for value creation and progress, and manage key performance metrics of the portfolio.
10. Innovation and Risk Management: Capture innovation through Innovation With Suppliers cards (IWS) and evaluate and anticipate risks, implementing mitigation action plans as needed.
11. Claims Resolution: Resolve claims (non-conformities, supply problems) as necessary.
12. Process Improvement: Apply Sourcing to Contract and Purchase to Pay processes to ensure data quality and efficiency.
