Rig Electrician

Job Summary:

Mar Recruitment And Consulting is seeking a skilled Rig Electrician to join our team for an offshore project in Egypt. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out daily maintenance and checks of electrical equipment, ensuring full respect of operative safety rules.

Key Responsibilities:

Be safety-minded during all works and behaviors, using compulsory protective equipment and ensuring the same for subordinates.
Carry out own duties according to the Emergency Preparedness Action Plan.
Ensure that before any maintenance activity is started, a proper risk evaluation is carried out, precautions are taken, and the work permit is signed.
Attend safety drills and meetings held on the rig.
Apply all relevant work and safety procedures issued by Saipem and the Operator.
Promptly report any safety hazard, accident, near-miss accident, and non-conformance through proper channels.
Maintain working areas, tools, equipment, and safety harnesses in a safe, clean, tidy, and orderly manner.
Properly maintain electrical systems, switchboards, related electrical equipment, SCR control system, EO System, and all electrical instrumentation including high/low voltage and DC System as per AMOS system.

Requirements:

The candidate must have experience on Semi-Sub / Drillships (not Jack-Up only).
The candidate must be available soon.
The candidate must have experience in this role and be able to work in Europe.

Location: Egypt – Offshore / Worldwide
Contract start: As soon as possible (notice period will be taken into consideration)
Contract duration: 12 months (renewable)
Work/leave rotation: 28 working days paid / 28 unpaid leave days
Working hours: 12 Hours X 7 Days a week
Salary: TBC
Overtime payment: applicable
Probationary Period: 60 days
Notice Period: 30 days
Accommodation: provided by the company
Transportation: Economy class provided by company at beginning, end of CNT and for each work leave rotation cycle
