Teaching Opportunity at Parkside School

We are seeking an exceptional English teacher to join our Prep School team at Parkside School. As a dedicated educator, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons to students in Years 4-8, fostering a love of learning and promoting academic excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging English lessons to students in Years 4-8
  • Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum plans
  • Contribute to the co-curricular life of the school, participating in extracurricular activities and events
Requirements
  • Good honours degree from a British University (2:1 or better)
  • PGCE or other qualified teacher status
  • Recent experience as a teacher in a school in the UK
  • Excellent subject knowledge and experience of teaching Years 4-8
  • Strong leadership and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate on planning and resourcing
  • Ability to modify learning strategies to target the needs of individual students
  • High expectations of pupils' effort and behaviour, with proven classroom management skills
  • Organised and able to prioritise to meet deadlines
  • Native level English speaker
  • Good working knowledge of ICT systems and the application of ICT in the classroom
