Job Opportunity

Applus IDIADA is seeking a skilled Vehicle Dynamics Objective Testing Engineer to join our team at the proving ground.

Key Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for leading technical activities related to ride and handling objective testing, ensuring the meticulous evaluation and advancement of vehicle dynamics. This includes:

  • Supervising the installation of sensors and data acquisition devices, with a focus on complete vehicle testing.
  • Directing and overseeing test programs in accordance with project requirements, with emphasis on ride and handling manoeuvres.
  • Analyzing test data, with a focus on ride and handling metrics, and presenting comprehensive reports to derive actionable project insights.
  • Process development and improvement: scrutinizing existing testing procedures and methodologies to improve efficiency and quality, and proposing new ideas to expand current services in the area of chassis testing.

Supporting Sales:

You will collaborate closely with the Vehicle Dynamics Testing Manager to offer valuable support in drafting technical proposals and quotations.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Automotive, or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • Demonstrated experience of 1 to 3 years in vehicle testing, with a strong preference for expertise in brakes or vehicle dynamics.
  • Experience in measurement technology and data acquisition systems, with familiarity with CAN communication equipment an asset.
  • Proficiency in NI Diadem or other data analysis tools and MS Office applications.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey findings and insights to customers.
  • A dynamic, proactive, and self-motivated attitude, coupled with a willingness to engage in global projects as required.

Language Skills:

Full working proficiency in English and Spanish is mandatory, with proficiency in other languages, particularly German, considered advantageous.
