Environmental Performance Specialist

Renewable Energy Grid Solutions is seeking an Environmental Performance Specialist to play a crucial role in integrating finance practices into the sustainability framework of our organisation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, a passion for sustainability and excellent communication skills to work with various stakeholders.

This position involves tracking, analysing and reporting on the impacts of sustainability initiatives while ensuring compliance with relevant sustainability regulations standards.

• Reporting and Compliance: Prepare and present sustainability reports to management and internal stakeholders, ensuring compliance with standards such as EU CSRD, GHG protocol, external assurance.
• Data Management: Collect, analyse and manage data related to sustainability, focusing on carbon footprint. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and automate necessary information.
• Financial Analysis: Analyse financial implications of sustainability initiatives and projects, developing and maintaining sustainability-related models and forecasts.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in budget development and monitoring, incorporating sustainability planning into our ways of working.
• Continuous Improvement: Perform audits on sustainability data, identify best practices and opportunities to enhance performance and effectiveness. Stay up-to-date on industry and sustainable finance trends.
• Stakeholder Management: Work with internal teams to drive accounting processes, liaise with external stakeholders, including auditors and regulatory bodies, on sustainability matters.

• Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or sustainability/Environmental Science.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years in accounting, ideally with a focus on sustainability.
• Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proficiency in accounting software and reporting tools, experience in sustainability software a plus.
• Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for global work environments.

Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year (estimated). Relocation assistance not provided.
