Position Description
We are looking for a Production Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team within the Production Engineering department. This engineer will work within a manufacturing engineering team and/or a project team, generally under the leadership of a more experienced individual.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the transfer of products or new equipment from Research and Development or Engineering to Production.
- Identify potential risks and mitigations by updating the Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and ensure that the actions or procedures defined are documented in the manufacturing documentation.
- Implement best practices and corrective actions and ensure that manufacturing documentation reflects them.
- Assist in the Qualification and Validation of manufacturing equipment and processes within a controlled environment.
- Knowledge and experience in robotics will be highly valued.
Position Requirements
- Background: Engineering or Scientific Degree (Automation, Mechanics, Electronics, Biomedical, Physics) or similar.
- Experience in Process Engineering or Production Engineering.
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve and troubleshoot technical issues/equipment.
- Multi-disciplinary technical knowledge in some of the following areas: Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programming, Human-Machine Interface (HMI) development, machine vision, database management, optics, fluidics, heat-management, pneumatics, SolidWorks, machining (e.g. Computer Numerical Control (CNC)).
- Good command of English.
- Experience in development and/or testing of scientific or industrial instrumentation is a plus.
- Experience in In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD), knowledge of regulatory requirements (IVDD 98/79/EC, ISO 13485, IEC 62304), and experience in Project Management are a plus.
- Experience in Lean or Six Sigma Methodology is a plus.
