About the Role
As a Senior Backend Software Engineer at TUI, you will be part of a cross-functional team that enables software development skills and capabilities across a whole domain. You will own the software products from conception to operation, working closely with your team to deliver high-quality solutions to our customers' needs.
You will strive for a high degree of automation, clean architectures, and high quality with a customer-centric mindset. You will work in a cloud environment, especially AWS, and develop resilient and high-performing cloud-native applications. You will have a good understanding of the AWS toolbox, leveraging AWS services and cloud design patterns in a micro-service landscape.
You will be responsible for designing, building, testing, and deploying software, contributing to increasing automation, and ensuring security is part of everyone's job. You will work in an international, multi-cultural team, challenging constructively and having high expectations of yourself and others.
About You
- You have a completed technical degree (e.g. computer science, business informatics) or a comparable qualification.
- You have experience in the further development of products and services and in the implementation of customer requirements.
- You have very good knowledge of .Net C# as well as relevant frameworks and concepts, such as .Net and Core, REST, MVC, and Microservices.
- You have good knowledge of MS SQL and MySQL database.
- You feel confident in using Visual Studio and NUnit & Mocking frameworks (e.g. Moq).
- You have experience in creating modern ASP.NET applications.
- You know about Gitlab and AWS CodePipeline (CloudFormation).
- You have a very good command of English (written and spoken).
- You are familiar with Agile software development and DevOps and have worked with these before.
- You are a team player and love to find solutions for complex problems in a joint fashion.
