Key Responsibilities- Studio Operations: Oversee all studio operations, including employee support, facilities, and production needs, to ensure the studio has the necessary resources to effectively operate.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to drive business growth, improve efficiency, and increase productivity.
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of production managers, leads, and directors to ensure successful project delivery and team effectiveness.
- Collaboration: Collaborate closely with our San Mateo studio to balance dependencies, deliverables, and output targets, and foster collaboration and connection between teams across locations.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to eliminate waste, reduce errors, and increase productivity.
- Resource Management: Help troubleshoot and balance resources based on project needs.
- Performance Analysis: Analyze the current state of the business to improve performance and efficiency across the studio.
- Standardization: Identify and implement standard processes and pipelines to improve team effectiveness.
- Mentorship: Lead efforts to develop mentoring plans to foster growth and build teams to achieve goals.
- Employee Development: Coach, counsel, and discipline employees as needed.
- Studio Supervision: Supervise the daily operations of the studio and ensure business actions adhere to current legislation.
- Progress Monitoring: Monitor and evaluate the progress and impact of operational plans.
- Culture and Values: Foster the company's culture, values, and corporate policies, ensuring a healthy and safe work environment.
- Community Engagement: Coordinate community social responsibility initiatives with the WEX/Ops teams.
- Well-being and Effectiveness: Conceive and implement programs to evaluate the well-being and effectiveness of the team.
- Studio Success: Promote the success of the studio and the project.
- Leadership Experience: 8+ years of experience in the AAA gaming industry, including production leadership.
- Business Acumen: Strong problem-solving skills, cross-functional collaboration, and an eye for business process optimization and change agility.
- Industry Knowledge: A wide knowledge of how a AAA video game is made and what needs to happen when.
- Communication Skills: Strong work ethic with exceptional communication skills.
- Language Skills: Fluent English and Spanish, both speech and in writing.
- Flexibility: Proactive and able to have a flexible work schedule.
- Additional Skills: Knowledge of art, design, engineering workflows, and game engines is a plus but not required.
