Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning and Control Specialist to join our team at Vodafone. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the commercial decisions are taken in an efficient way, aligned with Strategic Guidelines, Budget and Commercial targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate information and results with different areas (Business Unit, Financial Planning, ...) to ensure commercial inputs received from commercial/operational managers are consistent, ambitious, well balanced and aligned with strategy.
  • Support business unit in financial related issues and identify key opportunities to maximise efficiency of the business decisions.
  • External reporting to Group following deadlines established and explain on a weekly/monthly basis the variations in the actuals vs different scenarios (previous year, forecast,...) with an analytical view and adding value to the business.
  • Assess financial impact of commercial/project propositions and proactively address any financial issue that potentially may affect the ongoing business.
  • Execute and support the month end closing process in Enterprise Business Unit and produce biweekly P&L estimations and identify any potential risks to achieve Budget targets.
  • Ensure accurate and timely information to the business and point of contact between finance and business to ensure accuracy.
  • Provide insightful and added value analysis to drive business objectives and provide regular & ad-hoc Financial & Business analysis to support the management team.
  • Support business decisions providing financial management information and provide actionable recommendations to the business unit Managers.
  • Advise on opportunities and identify risks that may be associated with business decisions.

Requirements

  • 3+ years experience in financial planning, control and decision support, preferably in a commercial environment.
  • Fluent in English.
  • High level of MS Excel, PowerPoint and Office suite.
  • Experience in the telco industry is a plus.
  • SAP knowledge desirable (MM, CO, FI).
  • Solid professional background.
  • Proven analytical skills in a commercial environment.
  • Sophisticated planning and forecasting modelling.
