About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team at Nomadgao. As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our cloud-based systems and services.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Cloud Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and manage scalable and secure cloud infrastructure on Amazon AWS.
  2. Automation and Orchestration: Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline deployment, testing, and monitoring of applications.
  3. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with development teams to provide guidance on software architecture, design patterns, and best practices.
  4. Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve issues in dev, test, and production environments, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal system performance.
  5. Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies, and implement improvements to our DevOps processes and tools.
Requirements
  1. Experience: At least 3 years of experience in systems administration, preferably in web systems leading operational matters.
  2. Communication and Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work closely with developers, testers, and operations teams.
  3. Cloud Experience: Experience deploying and maintaining applications and platforms in public clouds like AWS.
  4. Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of Linux installation, configuration, and administration, as well as experience with orchestration frameworks and technologies like Ansible, Terraform, and Kubernetes.
  5. Security and Stability: Proactive and reactive security and stability skills, with a focus on ensuring the integrity and availability of our systems.
  6. Language Skills: Spanish and English skills are a must.
Desirable Skills
  1. Web Server Configuration: Knowledgeable about configuring and managing web servers like Nginx.
  3. Scripting Essentials: Experience with scripting languages like Bash, Python, or Ruby.
  4. Monitoring Tools: Knowledgeable about monitoring tools like Grafana, InfluxDB, etc.
  5. DevOps Culture: Familiarity with DevOps culture, interest in applying agility and maximizing efficiencies, as well as Continuous Improvement.
  6. Database Management: Experience with database management systems like MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Redis, ElasticSearch, DynamoDB, and MongoDB.
